Niger Delta Groups Congratulate Giadom As APC New National Acting Chairman ~ The Press Tv

Jubilations marked the entrance of the new National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on resumption of duties at the national Secretariat of the party in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja as well as in others parts in the country over the preservation of the corporate image of the party.

The apex association of scholars and activists in the Niger Delta region known as the Niger Delta Intelligent Assessment Group (NDIAG) says the emergence of Chief Victor Giadom, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress as its new Acting National Chairman is apt and timely owing to the urgent necessity to save party from premature death.

The non-partisan body, observed in it’s press release signed by the director of public affairs, Pastor Shedrach Oka, that prior to the emergence of Giadom, APC had suffered so much degree of rascality, global mockery and shame owing to it’s reduction to a one-man party and the adoption of crude and primitive leadership by it’s suspended former national chairman, Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole.

The release also noted that Oshiomhole’s impunity and grab it all mentality made him a serious threat to national peace and unity while commending the Court of Appeal for being guided by the law and upholding justice in the suit filed against the suspended former Governor of Edo State and replacing him with a civilised and decent professional, Chief Victor Giadom.

NDIAG also lauded the new party Chief for putting aside the kangaroo disqualification of Gov. Godwin Obaseki by the Governorship Screening Committee and the Appeal Screening Panel for Edo State, adding that the two bodies acted as the puppets of the greedy politician called Oshiomhole.

Also speaking on the new development, Comrade Freddie Idamkue, an American citizen, said the Court of Appeal took a wise decision in order to save Nigeria and the All Progressives Congress from total destruction.

The development activist noted that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s style of leadership was too childish and portrayed the party like his private estate.
Continuing, ldamkue observed that Oshiomhole acted like an herbalist without decorum while his leadership was an embarrassment to civilised democracies across the globe.
According to Idamkue who is a patron of Ogoni Patriotic Movement, with which he aids ethnic minority groups to assert their voice and rights, insisted that the APC was too big for a single person to exploit it to serve only his whims and caprices at all times.
He advised the party to rally round Giadom to heal the wounds created by Oshiomhole and to look inward to ensure that credible and tested achievers are elected to run different offices for the enthronement of inclusive democracy and good governance in the country.

Reports from our correspondents indicate that party members in Yenagoa and Benin-City we’re grown into wild jubilations as the news of the removal of the former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress filtered the air in these cities.

Mr. Andrew Agbonkia who spoke to our newspaper in Yenagoa said APC has been seriously relieved of the embarrassment caused it by Oshiomhole, whom he described as a political tout and glutton.
In his words, Comrade Yereovbha Kedamsu who spoke to our newspaper in Benin-City and a loyalist of Hon. Philip Shuabu, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, said Oshiomhole refused to heed advice from all quarters, and the forces that would terminate his political relevance blocked his ears from wise counsel and has now disgraced himself in failure and shame.
Kedamsu also reassured Edolites that, according to his master, Shuabu, the dye is cast and Obaseki, shall be re-elected.

The grassroots politician expressed optimism that the Obaseki-Shuabu administration would finally put an end to political godfatherism in the state.

Comrade Kedamsu observed that Obaseki has recorded outstanding achievements within a short period compared to Oshiomhole’s eight years of poor leadership.
He said the people are happy with the way Obaseki and Shuabu are working like two brothers and said it is only in Lagos, Ekiti, Bauchi, and Oyo States that you see this fruitful working style and that is why these Governors have achieved a lot and made their people proud.
