DEMOCRACY DAY: NSCDC MAINTAIN PEACE IN OYO STATE

In accordance to the Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) CG Ahmed Abubarka Audi mni PhD on protection of lives and properties of the citizens and National Critical Assets of the Country before, during and after the democracy day celebrations in the Country.

The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, CC Iskilu Akinsanya have deployed officers and men of the Corps from all departments and Units of the Corps to all nooks and crannies of the State to protect our Critical National Assets as well as the general populace who are law abiding.

While going round to ascertain the level of compliance in the State, all divisions visited by the State Commandant were seen stationed their officer at all blackspots in the State, we have Counter Terrorism Unit(CTU), Agro Rangers Squad and under cover officers patrolling the city. Such as, Beere, Challenge, Molete, Mokola, Iwo road and other areas in Ibadan including major towns in Oyo State.

Meanwhile, Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya used the medium to charged the personnels of the Corps to be professional in dealing with the civil populace and enjoined parents and guardians to watch over their children in other for them not to be used for violence and distruption of peace in the State.

Commandant Akinsanya also admonished the citizens of the State to see NSCDC and other Security agencies as their friend because Security of lives and properties of the citizens is a responsibility of the Security outfits in the Country with the cooperation of good people of Oyo State who assist with information to nip crime in the bud.

Commandant Iskilu Akinsanya wishes the good people of the State a Happy Democracy Day.
