“Lagos is Our Long Heritage.. Let’s Defend From Unseeded Elements”. Group Backs Sanwo-Olu Second Term Bid, Urge Yorubas, Lagosians To Vote Massively For APC
By Obiajulu Uwadone Nio
Amidst moves by the Labour Party, LP, to capture Alausa, Lagos, Yourubas in the state have been called upon to defend their age – long hertage by voting Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for a second tenure.
Recounting the history of Lagos which is today, the Centre of Excellence, an American based Professor of Chemical Engineering, Emmanuel Abiodun Dada, has called on Yoruba people resident in Lagos to come out and vote for the incubent governor in tomorrow’s election.
He noted that right from the time of great men like Herbert Macualye, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Pa Anthony Enahoro, Ernest Ikoli who fought against imperialism when Lagos fought using the pen, music, art and culture, Lagos has always been under Yoruba controlled political parties and as such, must remain so. He noted that Lagos is the most economically vibrant state in the country which the Yourbas must not lose control of: His words:
“We must never allow these gains to fizzle out. We must defend it. We must protect it. We must cherish it. You will not know the value of what you have until you lose it” “We must never allow Lagos to fall into the hands of unseeded elements, renages who have no experience about governance and who are strange to the timeless tradition and heritage of Lagos” He continued, adding that it is is a battle we must fight and win.
“We cannot hand over the biggest economy in Nigeria to someone unknown to Labour, strange to hardwork, someone who has never employed a single person in his life, someone who does not know our history, does not understand our language and culture.
A strange fellow whose antecedents was that he took part in violent protests and led the destruction of properties in Lagos”
Saturday, March 18th go out and use your PVCs to vote en-mass for Gov. Sanwo-Olu and turn the tide favourably towards progressive APC to revise the outcome of the February 25, 2023, presidential election and win a big one for Gov. Sanwo-Olu and all the APC candidates for the State House of Assembly positions. Overall, there is an urgent need for our collective actions to prevent the fall of Lagos State into the hands of renegades, untested, incompetent, and inexperienced party.
The erudite scholar called for a reality check, stressing that that no matter how the Labour Party (LP) is projecting itself as the party for the youths, the real friend of the youths that cares for their future and that cares for progressive governance is APC. “APC is not a perfect political party but the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT), will be an excellent president that will put Nigerian youth’s interest and gainful employment as one of his priorities in governing Nigeria vis-à-vis similar goals of Governor Sanwo-Olu for his second term when elected”
The APC Chieftain also called on youths in the state to remember that Asiwaju has heard their concerns and their displeasures on EndSARS as the outcome of their votes on the February 25, 2023 Presidential election has shown is loud and clear.
