CDNI hails ‘Ounje Eko’ initiative as phase II begins

Following the recent announcement made by Lagos State Government to reopen its ‘Ounjè Èkò discount markets initiative on Sunday, September 1st, 2024.
Calm Down Nigeria Initiative (CDNI), under the aegis of Amb. Frank Albert Jnr Okolie, has hailed the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for taken the initiative to all the five divisions of the State.
“Governor Sanwo-Olu rolled out the initiative, amongst others; we urge the state Governors and Local Government council to emulate the food subsidy program – which will help to alleviate the impact of inflation and rising food prices in Nigeria”, Stated.
This sales of food items, such as Rice, Beans, Garri, Bread, Eggs, and perishables like – Tomato, Pepper, onions, etc. Will reduces the prices of essential food items at discounted markets across Lagos.
However, the group appealed to the Federal Government to Speed up efforts to alleviate the pains as Nigerians are hungry.
