Rich Cultural Display as Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman, Otunba Almaroof Oloyede Celebrates Isese Day in Grand Style

The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has once again demonstrated his commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the people as he led the celebration of the 2025 Isese Day in grand style.

The annual event, which is fast becoming a unifying platform for traditional worshippers and culture enthusiasts, was marked with pomp, colour, and deep reverence for ancestral traditions within the council secretariat.

The celebration featured captivating cultural displays ranging from vibrant masquerade performances to traditional drumming, dance, and chants that showcased the diversity and richness of Yoruba heritage.

Otunba Oloyede, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko, appreciated the large turnout, reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the promotion of cultural values and traditions.

He noted that “culture remains a vital force that binds people together and strengthens the moral fabric of society. Under our leadership, we will continue to recognize and celebrate the place of culture in governance while fostering unity, peace, and progress among its residents.”

Traditionalists used the occasion to offer prayers for the continuous peace, unity, and prosperity of Oshodi-Isolo, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large. They invoked the spirit of the ancestors to bless the land and to guide the administration of Otunba Oloyede toward greater achievements.
