‘Stop Labeling Nigeria With a Wrong Identity,’ – Calm Down Nigeria Initiative (CDNI) Advises Pressure Groups, Political Opponents
The Calm Down Nigeria Initiative (CDNI) has called on pressure groups, political parties, and critics of the Renewed Hope Agenda to desist from actions and statements that portray Nigeria in a negative light.
In a statement released today, the CDNI condemned attempts by certain groups and individuals to play politics with the image and future of the nation. The organization emphasized that Nigeria’s reputation should not be undermined for political gain, noting that such actions only weaken national unity and global perception.
According to the CDNI, “Nigeria is a complex state — the giant of Africa and an emerging force in global affairs. The world is watching us, and how we choose to define ourselves will determine how others treat us.”
The Initiative urged all Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to promote messages of hope, unity, and progress, reaffirming that constructive criticism should aim to build, not destroy, the nation’s image.
