AKOBUNDU LEADS APC PCC WOMEN TO NORTHWEST STAKEHOLDERS MEETING IN KADUNA
By TC Nwachukwu
Hon. Princess Gloria Akobundu, PhD, a key member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) Women Mobilisation Wing and Secretary of the APC PCC Faith-Based Mobilisation (Christians), on Friday joined APC PCC women leaders and stakeholders from the Northwest geopolitical zone at a strategic stakeholders meeting held in Kaduna.
Presstv News Nigeria learnt that the meeting, convened as part of the intensified nationwide mobilisation under the leadership of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and the APC PCC Women Mobilisation Directorate, brought together women leaders, grassroots mobilisers, party stakeholders and support group coordinators from the Northwest states.
Princess Akobundu’s participation underscored the expanding role of the APC PCC Women Wing in consolidating support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027. She reaffirmed the commitment of women structures across the zones to speak with one voice and deliver a strong mandate for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.
Addressing a cross section of the participants in Kaduna, Akobundu stressed that the Renewed Hope Agenda has placed Nigeria on the path of renewed greatness and that continuity remains essential to consolidate the gains already recorded in education financing through NELFUND, social protection, infrastructure development, consumer credit and women and youth empowerment programmes.
She urged Northwest women stakeholders to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen ward and community structures, and ensure that the message of progress reaches every household. Akobundu further called on women across the zone to collect their Permanent Voter Cards and actively participate in the electoral process.
The Northwest stakeholders meeting in Kaduna forms part of the broader strategy of the APC PCC Women Wing following the successful national Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit in Abuja, where over 500 women support groups from the six geopolitical zones formally collapsed into the APC campaign structure and endorsed President Tinubu for a second term.
Princess Akobundu, who has consistently mobilised women and faith-based communities in support of the administration, described the Kaduna engagement as a critical step in building a unified and effective women mobilisation network capable of delivering victory in 2027.
The APC PCC Women Wing continues to intensify zonal engagements as the party advances its campaign preparations nationwide.
