The National Vice Chairman (South-East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and APC Presidential Campaign Council South-East Zonal Coordinator, Prof. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has strongly condemned the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for resorting to artificial intelligence to manipulate APC campaign images.

Arodiogbu described the action as a desperate, fraudulent and futile attempt by the opposition to create false narratives and mislead the public ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Presstv News Nigeria learnt that the APC South-East leader said the opposition’s reliance on AI-doctored images exposes their lack of original ideas, organisational strength and genuine grassroots support.

“Using artificial intelligence to manipulate our campaign images will not win a single polling unit for you,” Arodiogbu declared. “It is a clear admission of failure. When you cannot match the APC’s structure, message and popularity, you turn to digital fraud. Nigerians are not fools. They can distinguish between genuine mobilisation and cheap online gimmicks.”

He noted that the APC’s campaign materials are produced and distributed through legitimate channels and that any attempt to doctor or misrepresent them constitutes not only political mischief but also a deliberate effort to deceive the electorate.

Arodiogbu accused the ADC and NDC of wasting time on propaganda rather than building structures, engaging communities or presenting credible alternatives to the policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

“While APC is busy organising, mobilising and delivering results across the South-East and the entire country, these opposition platforms are busy with Photoshop and AI tools,” he said. “That is not politics. That is desperation. No amount of digitally altered images will translate into votes at the polling units.”

The APC chieftain urged Nigerians to disregard such manipulated contents and focus on the real issues of governance, security, economic recovery and the tangible progress being recorded under the current administration.

He reaffirmed that the APC remains firmly on ground in the South-East and across Nigeria, and that the party will continue to rely on people-oriented programmes, effective organisation and the trust of the electorate rather than digital deception.

“The days of cheap propaganda are over,” Arodiogbu concluded. “The people will vote based on performance, not on fake images created in a computer. ADC and NDC should face the reality: you cannot photoshop your way into power.”
