The pressure on All Progressives Congress (APC) Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to contest and become the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has received a boost with the birth of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard (BATSV), a diaspora organization formed to mount support for a better Nigeria through credible and more efficient governance.

BATSV debuted weekend in a visual launching attended by members across the globe, where matters relating to Nigeria as it is today and how to wriggle her out of the present socio-political quagmire were discussed and trashed with resolve that a better Nigeria is possible through quality and experienced leadership.

The group settled that Nigeria can still be adequately fixed if all hands are on deck, with ardent resolve to work together in progress and with a visionary and experienced politician like the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the saddle.

BATSV thus resolved to join hands by building a solid network through which they will convince Asiwaju Tinubu to run as President in coming race and then provide requisite support to ensure victory at the polls.

Global Chairman of the group, Ambassador Dr Dare Owotomobi, said at the launching that BATSV is a child of necessity in a country crying for survival as a result of past decay and acute negligence on the track of leadership.

He posited that a ray of hope would surface with Asiwaju Tinubu accepting to run and eventually become the President of Nigeria, come 2023.

And according to the Director General of BATSV, Dr Salewa Adefioye, the group is a pro-Tinubu for president group with members scattered across the globe and with consensus in resolve to work together and assiduously too, to ensure the success of Asiwaju Tinubu in the coming presidential polls.’”

He said the group, which is dominated by technocrats and politicians, both home and abroad, has Mrs Bola Obaniyan as Woman Leader and Mr Titus Madi as Chief Strategist.
Other members include key figures like; former executive governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, the Senator representing Ekiti Central, Opeyemi Bamidele, APC stalwart, Segun Ajibulu, former National Chairman, Alliance for Democracy (AD), Alhaji Musa Umar, former Minister of Sports, Youth and Special Duty, Musa Mohammed, former External Affairs Minister, Jibril Mangari, APC state Woman Leader Mrs Cecilia Nwachukwu, Executive Director, Personnel and Trainings, Nigeria Television Authority, Steve Egbu, APC Woman Leader, Mrs Racheal Akpabio among others.
