One of Nigeria’s biggest car dealers; CHIEF WILLY ANUMUDU has died at (the age of) 68.
The Chairman of Globe Motors on Victoria Island suffered some health challenges few days ago and was tested for COVID-19 which came out negative.

He was to be air-lifted to Germany this morning but died at about 4am. A jolly good fellow, Willy was everybody’s friend and a prominent Lagos socialite.

As at the time of his death, he was happily married to his effervescent wife, NKIRU, who sadly was in London when the tragedy occurred. He is survived by four children, Uzoma, Eyinna, Zinna and Zikky.
Delemomodu, I personally mourn Chief Willie Anumudu. Our paths crossed in 2001 when as Head, Public Relations/Deputy Head, Marketing and Dealer Development for Toyota Nigeria, I related with him and Humphrey, his sibling whom he set up to run First Motors.
Chief Willie was supportive, nice and result oriented. He would always ensure Globe met its projected sales for the year. He was a good man who very well respected my office. He was always calling me Nne or Obianuju (I’m told the latter means Omobolanle in Igbo).
I pray for the sweet repose of Chief Willie and ask God to comfort Nkiru his dear wife of many years.

Rest in peace Chief Willie Anumudu.
