BIOGRAPHY
The profile of Prince (Dr.) Samuel Adeshina Adesanya (JP) aka Pastor Ajidara, hailed from Ijebu Ode, belonging to both Iwade and Porogun area of Ijebu Ode in Ijebu Ode local government area of Ogun State.
His parents were late Prince Saliadeen Adeoye Adesanya of Irewon and Late Madam Basirat Adesanya (Nee Jeje) in Isado area of Ijebu Ode.
Born in the 50s, he attended Moslem Primary School Imope Ijebu Ode, Saint Peter U.N.A. Primary School, Bobasuwa, Somolu, Lagos for his primary education which he finished in 60s.
He later attended Baptist grammar school, Ogbongbo, Ijebu Ode for his Secondary education. He sat for his West African School Certificate examination in 70s. He obtained his National Diploma in state Marketing from National School of Salesmanship and Marketing, Manchester London U.K. He also possesses a Doctoral Certificate in Evangelism from the Lord’s Bible College, Owode Egba an affiliate of Ohio University, United States of America.
He was a prince of Ijebu Ode Kingdom, having hailed from Fusigboye Ruling house of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
He joined public service in Ogun state through the Judicial Service Commission in 1980 where he has been in charge of many high court judicial divisions among which were; High Court of Justice, Ilaro, High Court of Justice Sagamu, High Court of Justice Ijebu Ode and High Court of Justice Ijebu Igbo and many Magisterial Districts e.g. Ilaro, Sagamu, Owode Egba, etc.
Prince Adesanya was also a prolific writer, actor, Director, Singer, Dancer, etc. He was a lead actor with Ogun State Council for Arts and Culture between 1990 to 2005 as a member of the Troupe which travel across Nigeria and overseas and won so many laurels and Trophies for Ogun State during national festival of Arts and Culture in Nigeria before he disengaged from the state Troupe in 2005.
Prince Adesanya (JP) member of the defunct court registrars Association of Nigeria (CRAN), Ogun State branch, where he 1st won election to the post of state Public Relations Officer in 1987, he later became two term secretary of the association and later became the last president of the association which metamorphosed into Judiciary Staffs Association of Nigeria (JUSAN). He also became its 1st and last chairman before it again metamorphosed into the present Judiciary Staffs Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) in year 2007 and he was the state chairman till he relinquished power in December, 2014.
He was one time South West Zonal coordinator, National Assistant Financial Secretary and National Secretary at various times. Prince Adesanya (JP) was also one time National Assistant Secretary and Occupied the position of national deputy president of JUSUN before his retirement. As a result of which he was the only person that has occupied five National offices in the union, until he retired in July, 2015.
He was the state Adviser of Unification Drama of C&S Churches in Ogun state. He was also decorated as the Grand Commander of order (GCOO) of Ogun state salvation Army of C&S unification churches in Ogun State.
He was ordained as Reverend Prophet of the Church of the Lord Israel Worldwide. He was widely traveled and attended courses both in London and America courtesy of Ogun State Government.
He was awarded Best Actor of the Year by the council of Arts and Culture, Ogun State in 1995.
He was the former member of Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) where he held several postings at local, state and national levels. He was one time coordinator of all Egba Artistes in Abeokuta and its environs, sole administrator of Abeokuta South of the association and one time Vice Chairman of Egba Zone of the association. Former Publicity and Research Secretary of the association at the state level. Member of litigation committee and member of several committees at the National level.
He was the interim General Secretary newly formed Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria popularly known and called (TAMPAN) Ogun State Chapter, before becoming the 1st Elected Executive Governor of the association in Ogun State.
He has partakes in many stage plays such as Obaluaye, Who is Afraid of Den?, Eniyan, many Radio and Television productions and home videos such as Talongbemu?, Wonderful Pastor, Irawo Agbaye, Osuwon, Ologbo Iya Agba, Abela Pupa, Osangangan, Ageku Abela, What Next, Iyawo Ojo Kan, etc He got his popularity and stage name through Abela Pupa in 2003.
He was a Grand Patron of Kegit Club International till his death.
