Retailers can now manage their whole business with one unified commerce software platform in the cloud, they no longer require a different IT system for each separate part of their retail business. The in-cloud version of LS Central, LS Retail’s unified commerce software solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, is now available in South Africa.

LS Retail is a leading developer of software for retail and hospitality, and one of the largest Microsoft Dynamics Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in the world.

LS Central will be made available through QBS Group, the largest and fastest growing international network of Microsoft Dynamics partners and a certified Enablement Partner for LS Central, via the LS Retail Sub-partner program.

LS Central is a unified commerce helps retailers keep everything under control. One system, replacing all the separate platforms they currently use. All data is collected in one central place, so that retailers can track sales, stock and productivity in real time, in all their locations, from the back office.

QBS Group Regional Lead MEA Brooke Anderson says retailers in South Africa can now say goodbye to struggles with complicated integration and platforms that don’t communicate properly. “LS Central runs in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud and is available to users in the popular Software as Service (SaaS) model.”

“LS Central is a full cloud solution where head office, back office, as well as all Point of Sale terminals run online. As the system is hosted in the Dynamics 365 cloud, users don’t need to be concerned with security issues, updates, maintenance or management, as all these are taken care of by Microsoft,” he explains.

The in-cloud model also enables businesses to take advantage of all the services that are available in the Dynamics 365 intelligent cloud. With LS Central, retailers can finally know their business and their customers, and create experiences they will love.

“It is a complete unified commerce platform to manage your entire retail and food service operations efficiently. LS Central is built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and powered by Azure. It runs on-premise, in the cloud or as a hybrid solution,” he adds.

With LS Central, retailers can now get a comprehensive view of their business and a 360-degree picture of their customers by maintaining all core business information in one, centralised database. They can also manage all their retail and food service verticals across the business within one solution with deep industry functionality.

Anderson says retailers can now unify their business front to back. “They can control all business processes including purchasing, warehouses, CRM, store sales, distribution, franchises and financials, in one platform. More importantly, they can unify their channels and centrally manage products, prices, campaigns, offers and more for all their physical locations, e-commerce and m-commerce sites.”

“We also offer LS Central with hybrid options, it enables retailers to leverage the power of the cloud whilst still enjoying the resilience and stability of traditional offline Points of Sale. The hybrid model allows retailers to run their management system using a combination of on-premises and in-cloud, whichever fits their requirements best,” he says.

Hybrid deployments are increasingly popular, as they give users the benefits of running in the cloud, while also guaranteeing high in-store up-time.

The LS Retail software solutions are sold and implemented worldwide through a large network of certified partner companies. The LS Retail partner ecosystem has grown steadily over the years, and today counts over 380 companies in 88 countries. Certified LS Retail partners are experts in retail and hospitality, as well as in the LS Retail products and solutions.

“They know the local requirements and legislation of the countries where they operate, and also offer ad hoc services such as customisations, localisations, project management and technical support,” he concludes.
