Abduction: Omotayo Oba Alade Meta kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Oke-Eri Imope Ijebu-Igbo Ogun State ~ PressTv

Gunmen kidnapped a community leader at Imope, in the Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Tajudeen Omotayo.

Omotayo, who was popularly called Oba Alade meta (king with three crowns) of Imope town near Ijebu-Igbo was kidnapped by gunmen on Saturday afternoon.

According to a source, who is a resident of the town, the man left his place for Ijebu-Ode around 11am on Saturday in his car marked W 3J9 Ogun.

The source further explain to thepresstv.com.ng ; said the victim was kidnapped on his way back home around 3pm by unknown gunmen who accosted him at Oke-Eri in Imope and took him away leaving his vehicle on the road.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the incident.

Oyeyemi said “We are aware of the incident. We are on it. Our people are there —Operatives of anti-kidnapping unit are there. Area Commander, Ijebu-Ode is there. All the DPOs have been deployed to the place. We are working on it.”

Oyeyemi, however, said the information about the incident was sketchy as of the time he spoke with our correspondent. He promised to get back with details of the incident.
