The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Oyo State, Michael Adaralewa, has sought the support of the Soun of Ogbomoso Land, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Oladunni Oyewunmi Ajagungbade 111 JP ,CON, CFR, to strengthen the security being in placed by his command.
The commandant request for support today during a courtesy call on the traditional ruler in his palace .
Commandant Adaralewa, who said that his visit was to meet with all stakeholders involved in the security of lives and property in the state, also received royal blessings from Kabiyesi Oba Dr Oladunni Oyewunmi Ajagungbade 111 JP CON, CFR.
Welcoming the commandant, Kabiyesi Oba Dr Oladunni Oyewunmi Ajagungbade 111 commended the civil defence corps for the professional activities of Agro Rangers in stemming the tide of criminality and settling dispute among farmers and herders.
Commandant Adaralewa had earlier visited Abogunde Town to commission the Divisional office constructed for NSCDC in Surulere North LCDA by Iba Abogunde HRM Oba (Dr) Tajudeen Aminu Abimbola JP and his subjects .
Iba Abogunde promise to give more support to NSCDC personnel in his domain especially Agro Rangers, and added that he will not relent in his efforts of giving the Corps necessary assistance, he implore his subject to give timely information that will help in preventing crime .
The Surulere Local Government chairman Hon Isaiah Adegbite appeal to the state commandant to deploy more personnel to his local government and promise to give logistics support to NSCDC to facilitate easy movement for the personnel to maintain peace and order in the town.
He expressed appreciation for the way the officers handle cases, encouraging them to do more.
“It’s our mandate to protect lives and property of the citizens of the state, and also to protect national assets of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the state commandant stated this when he visited the Onpetu of ijeruland HRM Oba S. O. Oyediran Olugbami Oseku III,
Onpetu of ijeruland pray for safety and progress for the state commandant and his officer and men .He call on well meaning individuals to assist NSCDC to be able to carry out their duty.
