Following the recent approval and posting by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde has resumed duty as the Commisioner of Police, Imo State Command.In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command’s Spokesperson, CSP Michael Abattam stated that, “The Imo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that, the new Commissioner of Police, Imo Command, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, psc (+) has officially resumed duty in the command.”According to Abattam, “The Commissioner of Police who hails from Niger State, is a seasoned police officer, was enlisted into the Force in march,1990, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc) in Political Science from the prestigious Usman Danfodio University and a Masters Degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.””He is a passionate, versatile and experienced Police Officer, who has served the Force meritoriously in various capacities and in different Commands and Formations. He served as Deputy Commissioner of Police incharge of Administration in Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano State and Police College Jos, Plateau State respectively. Also he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police incharge of Operations, Borno State Command.”CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde psc(+) was the Commissioner of Police, Force Criminal Intelligence Investigation Department (FCIID) Annex, Enugu and until his recent posting to Imo State Police Command, he was the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command. His dint of hard work and professionalism in the job has earned him many accolades. He is happily married and blessed with children.
