German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to have dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron near his residence in Potsdam just outside Berlin on Tuesday.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is set to have dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron near his residence in Potsdam just outside Berlin on Tuesday.
The meeting will mark the first time Scholz has received a head of state or government in Potsdam, which is the capital of the state of Brandenburg that surrounds Berlin. Macron is expected to drop by for dinner at a restaurant there.
The two heads of state just met last Thursday at a summit of European leaders in Moldova where they made attempts to mediate the conflict in northern Kosovo.
Macron plans to be in Germany again at the beginning of July.
During a three-day state visit at the invitation of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Macron is scheduled to visit Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart, as well as the eastern city of Dresden.
