On National Youth Day 2024, CDNI celebrate the energy, enthusiasm, and potential of our youth. As we acknowledge the power of young minds to bring positive change – by avoid actions that could put them in danger.

The Director General of the group, Amb. Frank Jnr Okolie, said achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires a seismic shift – which can only happen if we empower young people and work with them as equals.

In a press statement released by the group National Publicity Secretary, Olushola Akinyele, in Lagos on Friday, to commemorate the Nigerian National Youth Day celebration, marked every November 1.

Okolie, praised youth for their determination and resilience; says more opportunities for younger people to have a say in policy development would make political systems better.

“Young people are leading the adoption and development of new technologies, driving digital trends and innovation globally. In Nigeria our youth can be a positive force for development when provided with the knowledge and opportunities they need to thrive.”

He acknowledged the PBAT administration plans for a 30-day National Youth Conference aimed at addressing the pressing challenges faced by Nigeria’s youth.

“Gathering of young people would serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue. “This conference will address diverse challenges and opportunities, provoking discussions on issues such as education, employment, security, and social justice,” he stated.

However, the youth involvement in nation-building, leading to numerous positive outcomes. He stressed that it is essentially for the Federal Government to select at the ‘Forefront’ for a meaningful deliberations.

Finally, urge Tinubu’s government to consider and implement the recommendations that would arising from the forum, as part of its commitment to building a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria.
