Arodiogbu Celebrates Nigerian Youths, Calls for Greater Investment in Skills, Innovation
Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, National Vice Chairman, South East of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has joined young people across Nigeria and the world in marking International Youth Day 2026, calling for greater investment in education, skills development, digital inclusion and youth entrepreneurship.
In a message made available to Presstv News Nigeria to commemorating the day, observed under the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” Arodiogbu said young people, despite living in different social, economic and cultural environments, share common aspirations for dignity, quality education, decent employment, good health, meaningful participation and a sustainable future.
The APC South East leader described Nigerian youths as “not merely the leaders of tomorrow,” stressing that they are already making significant contributions as innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals, digital creators, community builders and agents of positive change.
According to him, the resilience and creativity of young Nigerians demonstrate that meaningful national development is achievable when deliberate investments are made in their skills, ideas, wellbeing and aspirations.
Dr. Arodiogbu reaffirmed his commitment to supporting policies and platforms that expand opportunities for young people, strengthen education and skills development, promote digital inclusion, encourage entrepreneurship and create pathways for greater youth participation in governance and national development.
He urged governments, institutions, the private sector and civil society organisations to deepen partnerships with young people and provide greater opportunities for their voices to be heard in decision-making.
“No young person should be left behind because of where they were born or the circumstances they face,” he said.
Arodiogbu also called for stronger collaboration between global and local stakeholders, emphasising that global solidarity must be matched with concrete local action to address the challenges facing young people.
He urged Nigerian youths to remain resilient and committed to building a better future, assuring them that their aspirations and contributions remain vital to the nation’s progress.
“Keep rising. Keep innovating. Keep believing,” he said, while wishing young people in Nigeria and across the world a happy International Youth Day 2026.
