The Federal Government, through the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), has opened access to a ₦50,000 Conditional Grant Scheme for eligible nano businesses operating across Nigeria.
The intervention is targeted at small-scale business owners at the Local Government Area level, with the aim of strengthening their operations, supporting equipment acquisition and encouraging employment creation.
Under the scheme, successful beneficiaries will receive a non-repayable ₦50,000 grant, subject to the conditions attached to the programme.
One of the key conditions is that beneficiaries must employ at least one person, making job creation a central component of the intervention.
Presstv News Nigeria learnt that the scheme is part of SMEDAN’s efforts to support micro and small businesses, particularly enterprises operating at the grassroots, by providing financial assistance aimed at improving their capacity and sustainability.
Eligible business owners interested in the programme are encouraged to visit the official SMEDAN Conditional Grant Scheme platform and follow the stated registration and application instructions.
SMEDAN has also advised applicants to use its official platforms and verify programme requirements before submitting personal or business information.
