Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged international donor agencies supporting child development initiatives in the country to strengthen collaboration with government institutions and leverage existing platforms to ensure effective utilisation of resources.

Presstv News Nigeria learnt that the First Lady made the call when she received a delegation from the Eleanor Crook Foundation, a global partner and lead promoter of Operation End Starvation, in her office.

The meeting focused on expanding the scope and impact of the recently launched National Community Food Bank Programme, as part of broader efforts to address child malnutrition and improve food security among vulnerable communities.

Tinubu assured development partners that resources committed to initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerian children would be channelled through appropriate structures to achieve measurable impact.

She also emphasised the importance of stronger partnerships between government agencies, development organisations and other stakeholders in addressing the challenge of child malnutrition across the country.
