A veteran actor in the Yoruba film industry, Mr. Ojo Arowosafe, popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro, has given up the ghost.

According to reports, the 66-year-old make-belief star died on Tuesday after a protracted illness he had been nursing for a long time.

Recall that recently, he was in the news over his health, which prompted a London-based Clergy, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, to donate a sum of money to him last month.

In a social media post on Tuesday night, a comedian and actor, Mr. Bayegun Oluwatoyin, popularly known as Woli Arole, expressed satisfaction over reaching out to the deceased when he was alive to assist him.

“I am so happy I reached out to you sir, so happy we played our part, so happy we laughed together, so happy we were able to show our support. Rest in Peace, the Legend ‘Fadeyi Oloro’.

“Let’s check up on people when they are alive, let’s show love when people can feel. Let’s help when it can be seen,” he wrote.

Fadeyi Oloro was very popular for playing the role of a herbalist in movies and inspired several young people into the industry. The actor, who hailed from Ekiti State, was born on September 15, 1957.

Fadeyi Oloro was featured in movies and other TV series like Fopomoyo, and Arelu among others, playing fiery roles mostly.

However, details about his funeral rites are still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
