NANS Calls For Review of Students Loan
Sequel to the hike in the price of fuel, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called for an increase in student loan from N20,000 to N40,000.
This was disclosed by NANS Senate President, Babatunde Akinteye, during a news conference on the state of the nation in Abuja.
Akinteye said that this adjustment was necessary to help students cope with the rising cost of living while ensuring that they continue to pursue their education without undue financial strain.
He also called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sack all his cabinet ministers who are not performing well in the delivery of their mandates.
The NANS Senate President, while expressing strong opposition to protest actions against the fuel price hike, insisted that protests would be a last resort should negotiations with the government fail.
